Giaco2025-01-19Good value for money. Well managed. Thankful I chose Engiri. Peter helped us book our day activities, so that I needn't communicate with many different people. A great place for my family. The lodge was clean with frequent visits from wandering elephants. The meals were good and the chef was accommodating. I would go back.Verified

Located near the vibrant wildlife of Uganda 🇺🇬 , the lodge provides a variety of accommodations, from cozy, well-maintained rooms to rustic but charming campsites for those seeking a more adventurous experience. Upon arrival, the first thing that stands out is the warm hospitality of the staff. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. Cusson M2025-01-17Best experience of my life This is the best place I've been in my entire life. I suggest you to go there to visit the lion tracking and many activity. The food was cheap and very very good. Shout out to my man Peter. He's the man. What I like the most is that you see elephant around the hotel every single day.Verified
Anna2025-01-05The best staff ever We arrived at engiri very stressed as one of our party was very sick (we since found out it was malaria!) and thought we were going to have a problem as a booking miscommunication meant we thought we were getting tents with beds, but engiri thought we just wanted tents. If a sign of a good place is how they resolve problems, Engiri passed with flying colours and all was well that ended well, as they kindly gave us rooms instead. From beginning to end, the team couldn’t have done more for us; from checking regularly on the gentleman in our party who was sick, from organising for us to get cash so we could go for chimp trekking, they went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. Engiri really stood out as exceptional from a staffing perspective (special shout out to Patience and the ladies in the restaurant!). The rooms were also clean and comfortable, and the food was really good. Innocent their game driver was also highly knowledgable (I’m normally very picky as I’m a qualified guide myself!) Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, and an excellent base for exploring QE NP!Verified

Manon D2024-11-12Amazing lodge - great staff This lodge was beautiful and amazing. We saw an elephant the first night just 5m away. Tents are big and spacious, the experience was great and the staff is really nice and professional! Additionally food was amazing, and the hotel is close to Queen Elizabeth park. Thank you for everything !Verified
David N2024-10-16Super accomodation The Engiri Lodge is perfectly located. The staff were extremely attentive and super friendly. The food was extremely good and the portions were generous. A highly recommended place. Various animals came to the lodge during our three-day stay. Elephants, hippos and even a hyena, which was always very exciting.Verified
Freedom630905570592024-10-14Perfect Game Lodge in the Center of the National Park The Engiri game lodge is a great little campsite in the middle of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. My wife and I stopped there as part of our honeymoon. Patience was our personal server while we were there and she was great! She made sure everything we ordered was to our liking. Because it is the national park, there are tons of animals to see and they will just come right in through the camp. We saw elephants every day we stayed in the camp. They can also help set up game drives and a river cruise and both were fantastic. We cannot speak any more highly about this game lodge and plan to return in the future!Verified
Irish traveller2024-10-10Memorable stay in peaceful surroundings Engiri Game Lodge is located in a peaceful setting close to the Kazinga Channel. The cabins are spaced out to afford privacy. We had a spacious and bright room, simple but clean, with a large bathroom. The beds have mosquito nets but we did not encounter any when we stayed there. There is a portable fan to keep the room cool enough to sleep. The cabin has a terrace with seating and was shady. The main building houses the upstairs restaurant some of which is outdoors where you can observe the weaver birds in the trees. The food is all freshly made, is delicious, and reasonably priced. We are both vegetarian and had no problem eating there. The Lodge organised the boat safari on the Channel for us where we saw hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, elephants and many species of birds. They also arrange very economical game drives either early morning or afternoon. We had excellent help from the Marketing Manager who arranged private transport for us to reach the Lodge as well as assistance for our onward travel. In fact all the staff was really friendly and attentive. A bonus for us was hearing the wildlife at night, and also the arrival of an elephant in the morning looking for some discarded food from the kitchen. We had such a wonderful relaxing time there, a real highlight that we thoroughly recommend.Verified
Yago L2024-08-26Dream campsite at the Queen Elisabeth Spectacular, attention 5 stars and the shops are perfect, comfortable. Common bathroom but hot water 24h. Animals in the night (elephants, pumbas, ...) but there are guards watching that nothing happens to you. Perfect care 100% recommended

Adam2025-01-2110VerifiedGreat location with animal encounters. ☺ The staff were great & the wandering animals made it a stay to remember. Many thanks to Patience & Onyx in particular. We would recommend and we would definately return.
Brittney2025-01-1710VerifiedGreat wildlife experience right at the camp that we will never forget! ☺ This was one of the most immersive experiences we’ve had during our travels to Africa. It was absolutely surreal to have wildlife like elephants and hippos walking right through the camp and something we were really hoping would happen! At no point did we feel unsafe. It’s within a good proximity to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth, and the staff can help you book a local guide if you’re self driving. The guide they contacted for us (Ronaldo), was amazing. From the manager, to the security guards to the general staff, everyone was very accommodating and we had a fantastic experience. We were in a tent (not a lodge) so our review is based on the tenting experience. ☹ There was nothing not to like! Despite sleeping in a tent, we actually had a very comfortable sleep.
Domagoj2025-01-1610VerifiedBest value for money ever! ☺ Everything was perfect. Staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. Best value for money in the world!
Nicola2025-01-1310VerifiedHighly recommend ☺ Everything was amazing from the staff to the food to the tent that I stayed in. I really did enjoy my stay ☹ Nothing
Konstantin2025-01-1310Verified☺1. Территория, на которую могут заходить дикие животные 2. Удобный и комфортный четырёхместный тент 3. Очень вкусный ресторан при учёте трехразового питания ☹1. Пиво можно было бы и подешевле продавать)
Peter2025-01-129.0VerifiedWonderful
Reig2025-01-039.0VerifiedWonderful ☺ The location is perfect. The food and waiters are really nice. ☹ They need to invest in room maintenance. The door knob to the room would easily fall off. The shower door had a broken lock.
Justine2024-12-3110VerifiedParfait ! ☺La chambre était top 👍🏼 ☹L'insonorisation entre les deux chambres
Moreen2024-12-2810VerifiedExceptional ☺ Elephants coming to our cottages was an exceptional experience

Kirsten Klene2025-01-13Amazing place. Would reccomend to everyone. Best place so far in Uganda. We camped with our own tent. The staff made sure we had a nice spot with a roof over our head. Food is really good and very affordable in comparison to other places. Wild life just roams through the lodge and camp area (its outside the payed park entry). At night there is security who keep an eye out on the animals that are passing by. Close distance to different park entries. Wish we could have stayed longer, thankyou!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
martin b2025-01-03Delightful lodge with really excellent food. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I realise most tourists only stay a short time here as many are on a tour, but I would happily stay here for an extended stay in the future as the National Park and Kazinga channel boat trip were very worthwhileTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
Natxo Vallirana2024-12-23Good place inside the park. Be aware of the coexistence of animals like hypos, elephants, baboons, hyenas and warthogs....if you have the toilet out of the rooms (tents) you must always go with one of the 3 security guards on duty after sunset. For me, it is/was/will be a great experience. I recommend it. To remark the staff professional and kind behaviour, they are well trained and cool. Thanks.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
