The food was extremely good and the portions were generous. A highly recommended place. Various animals came to the lodge during our three-day stay. Elephants, hippos and even a hyena, which was always very exciting.VerifiedFreedom630905570592024-10-14Perfect Game Lodge in the Center of the National Park The Engiri game lodge is a great little campsite in the middle of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. My wife and I stopped there as part of our honeymoon. Patience was our personal server while we were there and she was great! She made sure everything we ordered was to our liking. Because it is the national park, there are tons of animals to see and they will just come right in through the camp. We saw elephants every day we stayed in the camp. They can also help set up game drives and a river cruise and both were fantastic. We cannot speak any more highly about this game lodge and plan to return in the future!VerifiedIrish traveller2024-10-10Memorable stay in peaceful surroundings Engiri Game Lodge is located in a peaceful setting close to the Kazinga Channel. The cabins are spaced out to afford privacy. We had a spacious and bright room, simple but clean, with a large bathroom. The beds have mosquito nets but we did not encounter any when we stayed there. There is a portable fan to keep the room cool enough to sleep. The cabin has a terrace with seating and was shady. The main building houses the upstairs restaurant some of which is outdoors where you can observe the weaver birds in the trees. The food is all freshly made, is delicious, and reasonably priced. We are both vegetarian and had no problem eating there. The Lodge organised the boat safari on the Channel for us where we saw hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, elephants and many species of birds. They also arrange very economical game drives either early morning or afternoon. We had excellent help from the Marketing Manager who arranged private transport for us to reach the Lodge as well as assistance for our onward travel. In fact all the staff was really friendly and attentive. A bonus for us was hearing the wildlife at night, and also the arrival of an elephant in the morning looking for some discarded food from the kitchen. We had such a wonderful relaxing time there, a real highlight that we thoroughly recommend.VerifiedYago L2024-08-26Dream campsite at the Queen Elisabeth Spectacular, attention 5 stars and the shops are perfect, comfortable. Common bathroom but hot water 24h. Animals in the night (elephants, pumbas, ...) but there are guards watching that nothing happens to you. Perfect care 100% recommendedVerifiedMeltem Yaşar2024-08-17There is no second first impression We stayed here 12 people for two nights. First of all they tried to make all of us sign a waiver that they are not responsible for any loss of money and property during our stay . Who does that? I am in safari business for 24 years and noone ever tried to make me sign such a document. They tried the same about wild life around the campsite. I did not sign that document either. It is ok to warn the clients but why make me sign a waiver? Anyways… After the receptionist forced me to do so and kept my 11 clients waiting for almost 20 minutes, the manager who we never saw during our stay interfered on the phone when I called him and let us in. The shower water was stinky and I think the smell got stuck on me. My hair got rough because of the water. Rooms were very small, the shower funnily located in the shower to make it leak all over the bathroom. I do not remember anything about the food though it is only one week ago. A waitress named Pamela was the only good thing about this place. When you do not get a warm welcome, nothing can fix that first impression.VerifiedInes M2024-07-16Great location with many animals visiting and lovely staff. The room was beautiful and had a terrace. The end was comfortable and spacious, with bed side lamps, which I didn’t have on many hotels. The food was fresh, healthy and delicious and they were very accommodating with my vegan diet. The staff are so nice! They let me see mama cat and her kittens everyday. The security guard was using his torch so we could see 2 elephants during the night. The only thing I would improve would be to be able to hang the shower to wash your hair. It’s a personal preference, but I much rather a shower than a bath.VerifiedIrie J2024-07-03Perfect stay near Queen Elizabeth Park Engiri is an absolutely beautiful place to stay. Stayed there for 3 nights in the beginning of june, the tents are comfortable & affordable. Their food is definitely worth it!! A perfect fusion from african dishes with International cuisine!! Close by the Queen Elizabeth Nationalpark this lovely place is a pure natural oasis. You can spot alot of different birds which have their nests next to the main house. If you're lucky enough, you can withness a close encounter with an elephant or an hippo, which passing through the camp mostly during the night. It's also possible to hear the sounds of the hyenas by night!! I definitely have to recommend this place & i will come back soon again.VerifiedTravelingFool880052024-06-27Love this place! The staff made this place but the facilities and food were exceptional as well. We stayed in a cabin. The food was delicious. And the staff could not be more helpful. I highly recommend this place. It is located close to where you catch a boat to do the tour.VerifiedPatrick2024-02-29Warm lodge in the middle of the wilderness We felt welcome and comfortable in the lodge. There is a cozy restaurant with a large outdoor terrace from which you have a great panoramic view of the entire sawanese. Fabulous food was served and the staff organized boat and sawanese tours for us according to our wishes. The lodge offers great service all around.VerifiedJesse van Bezooijen2024-02-15Had a lovely stay at the campsite! Had a lovely stay at the campsite. Great food and staff! Also great location in the middle of the QENP. The showers and toilets where clean. In the evening/night you’ll get a guard who escorts you because it’s possible that there are animals grazing (elephants, hippos, buffalos, etc)
